A beautiful pipe for the price. This pipe has some outstanding grain, but it also has a few surface flaws. I decided to do a little rusticating on the flaws and then do a black over coat stain to highlight the straight grain of the pipe. I think it turned out great. I added a black Lucite band on the shank, and a black and silver Lucite stem. Together they complement the dark color of the pipe nicely. The pipe has a simple but elegant style. A very comfortable pipe to smoke, that holds a good amount of tobacco.
